Assignment week 5

The project that stood out to me this week was "Mood Base." It did not only look artistic, but it's coding was also unique. This project can determine the mood you are in by your heart beat and through radio waves. Determining on your heart beat, the glowing orb in the bubble can change colors, brightness, and pace. This project also produces a sound that correlates with your mood. When you look on their page, it describes in great detail how it determines your excitement, but in short, it sends out pulses based on your heart beat. For my final project, I would like to create something that has unique coding to it, people have to interact with it, and it looks aesthetically pleasing, like this project.

Assignment week 6

I propose to control my blow dryer. For my final project I was thinking about doing something like this that would be able to turn on something that blows and can movie things through the air from a distance. I wanted to attach a balloon filled with confetti and hopefully it will blow up the balloon until it pops and confetti flies everywhere. I wanted to use a motion detector that would keep blowing up the balloon if people keep moving, but that wasn't possible.

I will have to use a dawn to dusk sensor at Home Depot in order to plug the blow dryer into. I am going to do this because it's safe, and trying to work with a blow dryer plug and socket would be too dangerous. So when someone shines a light in the sensor, then the blow dryer should turn on. Maybe I could make a game out of it how the people have to keep the flashlight in the sensor and race to see who could blow up the balloon faster. But I will have to see how the sensor works.
