Midterm Proposal
With my midterm project, I wanted to create an some kind of interactive sound objecttoy. So what I thought would be fun was came up with the idea a kids toypair of interactive dolls, kind one of like which is a keyboardgirl, that would help them learn basic notes (do re mi fa so la ti do)and the other a boy. It would kind  As I sewed the dolls, I put all the necessary wiring inside to hide most of be like it, and I put a keyboardpush lever switch inside the hand of one of the dolls. Thus, when their hands are pressed together, except each note would be a cushiony buttondouble pole, single throw switch is closed, and when pressed it a hidden heart on the female doll’s chest will light up, while on the male doll, a hidden heart on his private area would make light up. The hearts are meant to represent the internal reaction of these little people. The pair of wires for each light bulb comes from inside the designated noise dolls’ bodies and light upmeet at the switch that is at the hands of the dolls. Each button would The battery, which is taped to the bottom of the chair, is also have a picture connected to the same switch. And so the act of having them “hold hands” is what turns on it (iethe switch and closes the circuit to make the hearts light up.  The dolls themselves actually turned out to look quite crudely made – but I was actually going for do, that look. I thought it gave them a picture sense of anonymity and maybe a doe; for re, little bit of an eerie side. I also sat them on a ray bench to hide most of sunshine) so the wiring and the battery hook up.  By lighting up different areas on their bodies, I am playing with the stereotype that men are more focused on satisfying their physical needs, while women are more focused on satisfying their emotional needs. I was inspired by the advertisement for the child could also have visual cues mentally connect movie “The Ugly Truth”, which addressed this idea of the sound differences in men and women when it comes to relationships. Though I do think there may be some truth in this stereotype, I really just wanted to have fun with the nameconcept!
