Changes

We are interested in how our eyes see things, especially colors. We are also interested in opart Opart and creating illusions. We started off thinking about how we get dizzy after riding certain carnival rides. We wanted to simulate this dizziness feeling you feel as well as the sensations you experience, such as yelling at the top of your lungs when riding a roller coaster for example.

The viewer begins by placing his head in the box of mirrors and staring at the colorful, moving spiral. The viewer is able to scream as loud as he wants to as if he is riding a roller coaster or any other carnival ride. In response to The louder the viewer’s screamviewer screams, the slower the spiral moves on the screen will spin either faster or slower. Also, instead of randomly changing colors, the spiral becomes a simple black and white. We might make made the spiral different colors in order to play with the viewer’s vision and create optical illusions, which is sort of like a carnival ride on its own. To intensify the experience, we're going force the user to make it so place his head in a box of mirrors that resembles a "fun house". The mirrors and the louder yelling work together to simulate the viewer yells, the slower the image will spinfeeling you get when you go on a carnival ride. This creates project is intended to create a level of discomfort and a nauseating feeling.

The spiral-looking image is created through Processing. The image will be manipulated by the input of the computer’s microphone.
