*The idea becomes a machine that makes the art. f.ex.: project about imaginary daughter. why shouldn't subjectivity enter into the picture? aren't artist subjective responses/ideas sometimes the most interesting part? idea can be a catalyst to make the art, stimulus/response. closed loop feedback, without specifying/entailing an entire formal system to be implemented (variations on a cube).  *what a poor conception of mental interest:"It is the objective of the artist who is concerned with conceptual art to make his work mentally interesting to the spectator, and therefore usually he would want it to become emotionally dry.''
