<Final Proposal>

"Distance Perception Toy Piano"

I decided to make something different for the final project because I already demonstrated most of my project on the midterm day.
However, I use the same concept of the midterm project as well as the parts.

The new idea is a toy piano.
The piano that plays by different ranges of space.
A blocking paper is attatched on each keyboard.
Whenever the keyboards are pressed, they will block certain ranges of space.
IR sensor will read the different distances and the arduino code will give different note through the Piezo buzzer.

I think this idea is very interesting and unique in terms of interactivity
The IR sensor was kind of wrong choice for my idea because the sensor is too sensitive.
However, it was fun to make the toy piano work.

<Mid-term Proposal>

"The sound aid eyeglass for blind"

The object that I am going to control is an eyeglass. My project is a distance cognoscible eyeglass for blind.
The Infrared Range Sensor on the glass will read the distance between obstacles and blind, and gives warning sounds to them.

There would be two elements : one senses the range between obstacles and users, the other one is a speaker.
The Infrared Range Sensor will be attached on the front frame of the glass.
The blind will be noticed by the sound through the speaker which will be mounted on the side of the glass frame.
The three different warning sounds will be set on each range.

I like the concept of the project because it communicates with social environments and it might help certain group of people.
For this time, I will be focused on the context and the process of the work how well the external electronic equipments
communicate with the object. For the future work, I would like to consider the design of the object
along with the parts that I will use for this project.
