My interests in art generally involve around design, specifically interface design, such as websites. I'm currently the Creative Director at Extrabux.com and designed the current website, as well as wrote the HTML/CSS. Other websites I've designed can be seen at RyanGlasgow.net/work. The reason I switched my major from Economics, to Media: Computing Emphasis is because I began to become more and more interested in design, and decided to pursue a career as a designer/entrepreneur.

I actually already enrolled in VIS147A in Fall 2008, but quickly dropped the course because the TA did not explain concepts well and my light math background quickly became a problem. Over one year later I decided to give the class another chance. I've always been interested in electronics and enjoyed building kit radios and KNEX sets as a child and figured I would give the class another chance.

My Midterm proposal is a pendulum switch. When you turn on the device, a ball hanging via a string begins to move back and forth, higher and higher. After a certain height in either direction it completes the circuit which turns on a lightbulb. The ball will be conducive and the string will be a wire to complete the circuit.
