My proposal for the midterm project is to create consists of a double-runner track simple circuit with one button that a metal (conductive) ball will roll down, triggering multiple lightsturns on two laser pointers. I plan on making the track The pointers are wire in an interesting layout parallel as well as the lightsto retain their full brightness. Whenever I want The witch is a light to turn push-on, I will connect wires to the trackpush-off switch. The two rails lasers are housed in each of the track will create eye sockets of a break teddy bear bank and the switch is mounted to look like the bear is holding it in its arm. Push the button and the eyes of the circuitbear light up and shoot out laser beams. Humor and irony are motifs I like to explore in my art work, so when this was the ball rolls over motivation behind this breakproject. I wanted to take something that was ridiculously cute and change it in a way that would make it ridiculously terrifying. That being said, I wanted to retain the original look of the bear to keep the irony going and make it will complete more inconspicuous. Once the button is pushed, the bear is transformed into something completely different. The construction of the circuitwas pretty straight forward. The battery contacts on each of the lasers is hard wired now. The positive leads are connected through the switch, turning on then to my 5V power source coming from my breadboard. The trickiest part of the construction was mounting the components inside the bear. It's made of a hard composite plastic, so I had to cut out the bottom to gain access to the lightinside. I will most likely be using relays in order also had to drill out the eye sockets to accept the lasers, and drill a hole for the electric current itself switch. Given more time a resources I would like to turn on create some sort of bracket system inside the head that keeps the lasers pointing in the lightsame direction and orientation.I may would also put like to find a contact at transparent lens which more closely resembles the end original eyes of the track bear, so that shuts all the lights off when laser beams would shine through. Permanently wiring the circuit (so I don't have to use the breadboard) is another thing I would do to complete this project in the ball stopsfuture. http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4040/4331063248_51447a52ff_o.jpg http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4051/4331039162_f89391a090.jpg http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4016/4330304063_d9141ee71c_b.jpg http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2713/4330304167_9635b8582d.jpg
